Im scared of making to much money

Now that I got your attention... that sounds silly right?
Tony brought that to my attention when I made the comment "I'm scared of eating to much" He compares calories to money and your body is the house. You want to use that money to build a dream house right? Well you need calories to build that dream body! Makes total sense right? Those are words I need to live by when I start to mentally start freaking out about eating to much. I worked out a little bit today (more than the past 4 days) but I plan to go back because mine got cut short because I only had a total of 2 quest bars in the morning/ afternoon before my workout which wasn't enough. BUT I can give yall a peak of my workout today!
It started out with me just kind of walking outside to Tony training a client to hang out but lucky me Tony sent me back inside to get a kettlebell (20 LBS because that was the heaviest and THOUGHT that wasn't heavy enough....I was wrong) and come back to do kettlebell swings, along with the kettlebell snatch. It was kind hard to grasp the concept on the kettlebell snatch but I still got it :)
We then went inside and I said the word "Damn" and Tony then made me do 10 bur-pees (I hate bur-pees) Next we did a few different workouts.
BENCH PRESS WITH 10 LB WEIGHT ON ONE SIDE (works the add)
TBAR ROWS WITH 45 LB WEIGHT
TBAR DEADLIFT WITH 45 LB WEIGHT
TBAR PRESS UP WITH 25 LB WEIGHT
TBAR "AROUND THE WORLD" WITH 25 LB WEIGHT

(the last 2 I made up the names of the workouts because I wasn't sure of the name, I tried to be able to make a picture in yalls head for yall)

That was when I started to get light headed due to the lack of food! So either I will workout at home or go back after my phone charges! So remember. Calories are like money. You always need it!

Not all days are the best

So today's workout wasn't the best. My body....scratch that my MIND was wasn't going to let me do it. I let it get in my way
Don't get me wrong I sweat and there are a few things that I have to be excited about. Alright check it out.

Hexagon deadlifts: (each side) weights: 55,65,70 reps: 6,4,2 PERSONAL RECORD
Inner/Outer machine: Outer weight:70,90,110 reps: 12,10,6 inner weight: 30,40,50 reps:10,10 10
Single leg deadlift: weight:20 reps:10
Cable kickback: weight:60,70 reps:12,10 PERSONAL RECORD
Cable Sidekick: weight: 30 reps:12

So as you can see. I have a few check points to jump for joy about but I didn't finish my sets really. Tomorrow is a new day though hopefully my mind is better to me tomorrow.

On a happy note my best friends dad mentioned how he almost didn't recognize me because I've lost a lot of weight since he has seen me last. :) that made my day!!

Until next time :)

you know its a good workout when...

The other day Tony and I where talking about my half marathon goal; he had brought up a guy (I wish I remembered his name, Jeremy something I think) he told me that this guy had made a theory that running as fast as you can and walking until you had the stamina to start running again is the same as keeping up a pace. I put that to the test today. I ran 4 miles in 50 minutes and even then I wasn't running as fast as I could either. But overall this is about the same time. I kind of feel like I have a fear of running on the treadmill..whenever my legs feel the least bit off, I instantly start slowing down my pace or even start walking when I can run longer. I went longer than yesterday, I hit the 4 mile marker. After my run I did a quick workout with Tony because he graciously offered. He showed me some new ab workouts. When he does the abs and likes to add in other muscle groups and I plan on using them sometime in the future. Im not 100 percent sure the ACTUAL names of the workout but I will name them how I can so you can get an idea of what I did. SO check it out bellow VVVV

First I was in the plank position and Tony handed me the weighted cable. While in the plank position I kept my abs tight and pulled the cable towards my naval. Then we wrapped the cable around my ankle I did a couple different moves, first was the "spiderman climb" bringing my knee around the side of my body, then I moved my leg in a "bicep curl" movement and wow we learned that I need to work on my hamstrings more; they started to cramp so bad. We also tried the donkey kick movement but I kind of struggled with that due to the fact that I was still in the plank position. We then moved over to the free weight area. With the Hexagon bar he put 25 lbs weight on only one side and I had to hold it up and keep it straight. We also did that with the bar doing bench press with 10 lbs weights on one side of it. Having to keep my core tight was hard, so I'm sure i will feel it tomorrow. Finally we went over to TRX and did a few rows with each arm. Proving I need to work on my upper strength lol

Needless to say I honestly looked like I took a shower my hair was soaked and my shirt was dripping. I LOVED IT. Half Marathon or not I probably will start running for an hour before doing strength workouts. I feel alive! lol

You get the best of both worlds

Today was a best of both worlds day. Cardiovascular and strength. Running and traps/shoulders. (More so traps)

My original goal for running today was to do 13.1 miles even if I walked it all just so I could see where I was at. If it's even possible for me to do this half marathon in October. Right now I'm on the fence. Paige thinks I should wait due to 3.95 miles in I could already feel a knee ache coming on. So that's where I stoped. 50 minutes in. WHICH I only walked a total of 5 minutes so I'm happy because that's the longest I have ran ever!:) so we will see. If I am not able to do one in the fall maybe the spring time I can find room somewhere in my busy life to take a day to me. A highlight of that run, a girl who works out at the gym I see from time to time dropped a "compliment" anytime fitness has that says "you inspire people you don't know" but scratched out "you don't know" and put "Alex and others:)" she's so sweet it was a huge motivator to get me as far as I did. I almost went home bit decided to add a little something in anyways. SO here's as follows...

WORKOUTS
BARBELL SHRUG: weights: 10,15,20 reps: 12,8,6
DUMBBELL SHRUG: weights: 12,15,25 reps: 12,12,8
CABLE SHRUG: weights: 50,70,90 reps: 12,10,9
UPRIGHT CABLE ROWS: weights: 40,60,70 reps: 12,10,8
ALTERNATE SHOULDER PRESS: weights: 15,20,25 reps: 12,10,4
BARBELL FRONT RAISE: weights: 5,10 reps: 12,6

So. It was a good day I concider it. Instead of being shy little ole me. I actually did what I want how I wanted without feeling judged. Yes people where in the gym lol for anyone who get embarrassed easy. Just know. If I can do it you can do it.

Training Day.

Day 2 with the conditioning of the half marathon. Im going to TRY this running thing everyday. Yesterday i did the run 2 min walk a min for 30 mins well today I did run 3 min walk 1 min for 30 min. I started with a 5 min warm up and ended with a 5 min cool down. I decided to add a arm workout in since i was at the gym anyways; I did the 7,7,7 technique that Brittany showed me. With weights of 15,12,10 and 8 so I am hoping that my arms are sore tomorrow :) I brought lunch to work with me today, Swai fish with broccoli; after working out I heated up some of the chicken we cooked in the slow cooker! It is so yummy, I have had problem eating chicken because its so BLAND and to eat the SAME THING EVERYDAY just sucks. BUT. good news people. I have figured my way around it and its SO phenomenal. I cut up the chicken in slices, and I put BBQ sauce with seasoning and a little bit of cheese. Then once its done I put half an avocado in it with a little bit of sprinkled cheese. So if you want a good chicken taste, try that! Until next time!

XOXO

Becky

I've decided that....

So. Today I almost didn't go to the gym until Brittany called me saying I had to lol so thanks Britt. 😂anyways.
But the past few days I've been thinking about doing a half marathon but today after getting paid to take maternity pictures I have decided to use that money to enroll in one. It's October 1st which is actually REALLY soon but it something I want to do. Even if I'm crawling at the end of it. I want to be able to say I entered a half marathon, and give me motivation to do another one and beat that time as well.
Brittany said she would do it, and I hope see does but if she doesn't I understand I just hope family, ryan, my anytime fitness crew would be at the end of it to catch me when I fall at the end. I know they would be proud if I did one :) and honestly that's enough motivation for me!

Today's workout was cardiovascular to train for it. For 35 mine.

I ran 2 min. Walk 1min for 30 mons then walked the rest of the 5

Going hard= puking

"Don't ever tell a track coach that you are about to puke. It's something they want to hear and means they are doing their job" words my track coach lived by. At the time I didn't understand it. Now I do. Ryan and I went to the gym today. As he said we need to bite it in the ass and jump back on track. So today we went grocery shopping and went home to pre-cook. We have chicken cooking in a slow cooker as I type. We are just leaving the gym, here is my workout as follows.

WARM UP: 10 min light jog on the treadmill

Hexagon deadlift: weights(both side) 45,55,60 reps: 12,10,6
Kickbacks: weight: 40,50,60 reps:12,10,6
Side kicks: weight: 20,30,30 reps:12,10,6
Assisted Squats: 25 reps 12

Seriously it doesn't look like much but at one point I had to lay on the floor (I have an image below of my view) it might be because I haven't worked out that hard in in a while that my body couldn't handle it. Either way, you would think I would be upset with my workout but I was very proud because I came close to puking. Who knew that I would one day use my track coaches own words :)
